To the 7900gto guys - don't you get kinda peeved about not being able to run AA + HDR? Especially games like BF2142 where you're stuck with 1280x1024 so can't really go without AA. It's all that's stopping me keeping the GTO really :/

Definitely keep your core as high as you can, mem comes next. 590/550 will perform noticeably better than say 540/595.

That's my biggest concern, however I have also been told you can modify the stock speeds of a bios. For example, we could get an X850XTPE bios, modify it to set stock clock speeds down to 400/400 or whatever, then go from there. *IF* it really could be the case that the GTO2 bios is stopping us...

Have to admit I am slightly gutted to be stuck at 500/600, particularly seeing most people hit a core of 530 or more, although I of course appreciate that it's still a great overclock. I'm trying out a friends spare Connect3D X800GTO this week, hoping I might have a better clocker :)

Sorry to nag Locutus12, but have you had any luck makingan iso for the Connect3D cards? I'd so much rather do it with one of your CDs than the whole floppy + flashrom thing, considering I'm not experienced on that front.

Locutus12 - Would your iso work for the Connect3D X800GTO as well, or is it strictly for the X800GTO2 / R480 core? If the later, would you be willing to put together an iso for the Connect3D or would that be too difficult considering you don't have one?
