Can anybody tell if it is possible to unlock a BT Home Hub for use with a different ISP? I managed to get hold of one, it will be delivered next week, and I want to try and conenct to my ISP with it. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Andy
I had 3 faulty Leadtek 6800GTs (2 from OCUK and one from elsewhere. Evetually gave up and bought an Inno3D 6800GTwhich caught fire within a few days of installing so was promptly refunded!
Vowed never to touch Leadtek again.

You really need 2 gig for BF2. I used to run with 1 gig but got stuttering and when quitting the game the music would play on for a10 - 15 seconds As soon as I went to 2 gig I never had a single stutter.

Here Here. I had 3 Leadtek 6800GTs die on me within 2 - 3 months of one another. One even took my motherboard with it. If you have a working Leadtek 6800GT then I wouldn't mess with it.

Yes thats normal, unless you have a 7800GT with the fan copntrol fault that other people are talking about. My 7800GT is fast during boot up and then slows right down in WIndows XP.
Once in XP I think the fans speeds are 35% (2D), 35% (Low Power 3D), 55% (3D) and then increasing from those...
Also worth checking you sound card settings. These can really impact on the framerate if the sound quality settings are too high and you are using a basic or onboard soundcard.

Yes I RMAd the faulty card on each occassion and got replacements.
Story goes like this;
Bought a Leadtek 6800GT from another store; faulty within 1 hour. While waiting for refund I bought a Leadtek 6800GT from OCUK. Went faulty within 7 days; RMA'd it and they replaced it with a another...
Around 10,000 faulty Leadtek 6800GTs were shipped ex. Leadtek last year. Leadtek had little idea where they went to. I managed to get 3 within the space of a couple of months; all with faulty memory.

If you see screen corruption at boot up, i.e. BIOS screens etc, then it is not a driver problem. Sounds to me like the memory is faulty - RMA time!

I had similar problems which went away when I upgraded from 1 Gb to 2Gb memory; games ran much more smoothly and the pagefile was hardly used during gameplay.

Disconnect some of the other devices, e,g, optical drives etc that are not essential for booting up. If the problem goes away then it looks like the PSU is not up to the job.
