No snooker this morning! What am I supposed to do until ~1300, once I've recovered from putting away the food delivery?

The councils selling the family silver to pay bills

Our refuge collections in east Southampton are supposed to be Tuesdays, but they've been Wednesday pretty much every week since January... Was shocked when they actually came yesterday!

How did Melkins make it to the second round? Things can only get better, so out of sorts most of that match! No issues for Kyren finishing things off against Dom, a 50/50 first frame and then a maximum attempt to wrap things up. Great battle between Ding and Jack that went to decider, with a...

    It's too hot :(

Bound to be wet in two weekends time, the weather knows when it's a Bank Holiday weekend! ;)

    Road Cycling

The elevation data for some segments from early GPS computers when Strava started around 2011 are diabolical, built-in barometers are getting better but they still can have bad days! I use Strava's "correct elevation" option (often "correct distance" too, but very little adjustment these days)...

Yeah, tricky red Mark took on, he must have seen it as his decider "just one chance." Another seed hits the dust, crazy after Mark beating 1/2/3 in last tournament to win!

Yeah, I fear Si has missed the boat.

Should have been over, Si slapped that pink when a power shot wasn't needed to middle, almost fluked it coming back across the table to the jaws.

    Road Cycling

I doubt it, my road bike is 50/34 with 11-34 with lots of use of the easiest gear in recent outdoor rides, while I've also recently had the hybrid off the turbo with 26/36/48 and 12-36... 26/36 is lovely up ~5%+ inclines with weak legs!

Both matches this morning were pretty high quality (other match Ding against Jack), flicking between them Dale missed effectively frame ball red with the rest in something like the eighth frame. Lost despite scoring 70 points. Almost certainly Kyren's best match session this season, Dom needs...

How often do Royal Mail Delivery?

Supposed to deliver letters daily Mon -Sat, but since duties were increased in size in the last year, posties often rotate which streets don't get letters for at least a day or two. If they want to finish on time, managers are often telling them to prioritise parcels, especially Special...

The Indoor Riding/ Zwift/ TrainerRoad etc. Thread

Are you on Zwift, or do you have plenty of the monthly free 25km left? I used to often do Tempus Fugit TTs as a negative split FTP test, starting ~25W below my anticipated FTP and then shifting to a harder gear every 5mins or so. There's one tonight at 1910. ;)

Wilson, who retained the Scottish and won the Welsh, has been all at sea against Bingham this morning. Bingham missed a few shockers too. Bingham was looking good for a clearance steal in their final frame of the session, left himself a tricky pink but nailed it with good position, to then miss...

    Road Cycling

For me, an 11-34 is far more than just about a 2T easier gear, the cassette is much more focussed on climbing options... 11-32: 11-12-13-14-16-18-20-22-25-28-32 11-34: 11-13-15-17-19-21-23-25-27-30-34 I've been using 11-34 cassettes since '20, used to love having extra gear options to power...

Another seed bites the dust, McGuire playing like days of old this evening, thought Carter would breeze through that one after the season he's had.

Very surprised Luca conceded needing only one snooker... Was he ill? Fair play to Gilbert, he played well from 8-5 down.

    Your current Fish tank Setups!

Running tanks doesn't have to be expensive. These days I'm running four (2/4/4/6-footers), until around the pandemic starting I was running six, including a 5-footer in the garage. I should really move my African Butterfly Fish in with my old Leopard Bushfish, to decommission the 2-footer...

I've not used it to sell or buy for 5+ years now, but in past i've sold/bought tanks/fish at https://www.aquarist-classifieds.co.uk/ Edit: Just remembered that Association Of Aquarists are holding one of their regular auctions at Kempshott Village Hall in Basingstoke (RG22 5HN) on Sunday 5th...
