    The *Official* Eve Online Thread

The initial wave of speculation post-exploit revelation is over, now we have to see how they're going to stabilise, but yes, t2 prices are likely to rise somewhat, although since the data on the amount of high end reactions produced out of nothing are not precise, its anyone's guess what exactly...

    The *Official* Eve Online Thread

Invention. The recently discovered ferrogel (mainly) exploit has driven the prices even lower in the last few months, but mainly invention - t2 margins are actually not that high now, with invented goods being produced at margins not much higher than t1 used to be a few years ago. If you...

Ultima Mobile - 15.4" WSXGA Laptop

So, I just ordered one late saturday, and I'm gatherin' up the drivers 'n all. WIll be running Vista 64, btw. So I've got SATA and wireless from Intel, and the custom drivers from nVision. And of course there's the clevo site for fallbacks. Anything else? Bluetooth runs on OS drivers, I take...

    Help with watercooling connectors

Yeah. Um, stick to the HighFlow G1/4 DD barbs... PerfectSeals have a marked, negative impact on flow. HighFlows are good stuff tho :)

    Noob going water cooling

order doesent matter, shortest loop always wins in performence. reses with integrated pumps suck sweaty, hairy simian scrotum. if thats the kind of watercooling you want, stick to air. really. a Swiftech MCP350/DDC sitting on some foam is totally inaudible. i mean that. you wont be able to...

    Swiftech H20 Apex Ultra+ questions

Alphacool rads are cheap HWLabs knockoffs, they dont compare to Black Ices or Swiftech MCR-QPs, let alone TC PAs... and the only good block from AC is the NexXxoS, the others are abysmal.

    WC kit for this spec...advice?

I'm sitting here right now with internal case temperatures of 26.5c... rad fans @ 5v. Coolant temperature also 26.5c. Ambient... 23c. So... no, its really not an issue. Dt of the air flowing accross the rad is generally under 1c. To get that kind of Dt from a PA120.3 you need to hook up a...

    WC kit for this spec...advice?

*shrug* The only cases that can fit triple rads - let alone Thermochills, which make other rads look like children's toys - internally without modding are MountainMods U2-UFOs and Opimax-1203s, CoolerMaster Stacker STC-01s and 810s, and ThermalTake Armor/Kandalfs. For everything else, you...

    Reserator1 or Swiftech WC Kit?

If its silence youre after, yeah. You basically get the same performance with fans @ 4v that other rads get @7v, 7v = other rads @ 9.5v, and so on... and they have less airflow noise on top.

    6300@3570 DS4 vs 6600@3560 P5W DH

The L2 actually making a difference here, probably. Large SPI tests bypass the memory prefetcher as you might imagine. Or maybe its something else? Too bad you cant do more testing :)

    6300@3570 DS4 vs 6600@3560 P5W DH

*nod* didnt take that into account... doh. I've seen the ASUS beat the GB mobos repeteably with the same CPU @ same clocks when OCed though... inversely, the GB tends to win @ stock. I want an RD600 mobo damnit... asynch mem controller *drool*

    Reserator1 or Swiftech WC Kit?

You wont be able to hear the pump at all so long as youre not daft and bolt it into place. Laing Delphi DDC-1s are some of the quietest pumps around. The era of noisy pumps is well and truly over, so long as you stay away from D4s and large Eheims. Even my Iwaki is dead silent when decoupled...

    6300@3570 DS4 vs 6600@3560 P5W DH

Its a shame the DS is locked into place, from the tests I've seen the ASUS edges ahead of itwhen OCed with the same CPU - sciencemark doesent seem to ue the extra 2MB L2 on the 6600 at all... you results would appear to continue the trend and be entirely down to the motherboard internal timing...

    Reserator1 or Swiftech WC Kit?

The swiftech is good... if you get much the same loop but with separates and a bigger/better rad, however, you can turn the fans down so low your HDs will be the loudest thing in the room by far... and then you'll be where I am, pulling out hair trying to figure out a way to silence an external...

    Thermalright Ultra-120

Noise specs are right but CFM specs are in pure Silenx "we're high on household cleaners and tripping off our nuts" style. Also they have terrible static pressure. In recent tests by an XS member and a national german magazine 1600rpm 28dBA Scythe performed worse when mounted on a radiator...

    Watercooling question

Well his temps are going to be a bit warmer since hes on a single rad but 15c between CPU & GPU are a pretty strong clue to whats going on :D

    Watercooling question

Warmish yes, but my X1800XT ran the same temps as my X1900XT (XTX'd) does, and thats an easy high-30s/low-40s, same as my CPU. That 10c delta between CPU and GPU says bad mount to me. *shrug* just my epxerience.
