Well not 9000, because the CPU is single core. A 5000+ (Dual Core - 512KB/core, 2.6Ghz) gets that on a single GTX. 3D Mark 06 counts the CPU score in the total as well, so it will seem a little low. Real games will show improvent though. I'm guessing 50%+ since the 8800GTX performs like 2...
Well, they've lost a customer. Both makes available cannot be shipped to Cyprus because they're more than 2KG, and they have removed Parcelforce as an option which allowed heavier packages. I am forced to buy the card from elsewhere. :(
Looks like Crossfire is disabled. My scores are similar and that's on a 4200+ and a X1900XT. Doublecheck that Crossfire is enabled. If you disable Crossfire, do your scores drop?
The one is independent from the other. If you have bilinear in-game and AF forced in the CP, you will still have rough transitions in the distance where AF is not applied.
Well, since you don't mind having "only" 256MB, I would say go for the 256MB x1800xt, it's faster and cheaper than the 7900GT. Also, the cheapest 7900GT and the 512MB X1800XT have the same price, so it's a pretty simple dilemma for me. :)
Well, the US is getting all cards today(7600GT,7900GT,7900GTX), why shouldn't the UK get them?

Delete the Farcry profile, that should fix it. Or try using HDR mode 2, it doesn't display those problems. Renaming the Farcry executable to something else will do the job as well, since the profile won't be applied.
