Anybody here have a laptop with integrated graphics? I have a Toshiba M70-122 with 915GM 4x AGP shared memory integrated graphics and I'm thinking of getting the NEC as an external monitor. My lappy only has a VGA port and before I throw away my money I'd to know if the integrated graphics...

Hmmm… I bought mine from Germany actually, and it had the “/00”.

I had the philps 200w6 for a while before I sold it. On the other topic it was said that the 8ms version, on the back of the panel, the model number has “/00”, as in “200W6/00”. That’s how people were supposedly confirming if it was the 8ms… Best to read the other topic, or maybe email Philips...

These healing NECs are interesting. Are there at least some theories that attempt to explain the initial bleeding and the subsequent healing? Also are there any people with a NEC that did not heal and how much time did you wait? I guess a poll would be interesting or maybe not.

Maybe what I’m trying to get at is what makes a CRT not so great for the eyes compared to a TFT? Could the reflections have something to do with it or is it the way they work or something else? Btw I usually work in a somewhat dimmed room, IMO, but with dark screen backgrounds I usually find...

I’m hoping this will turn out well for you lot. I sold my Philips 20” so I could get the NEC, but I’ll wait to see how this issue with the backlight bleed pans out.

It’s not that much space really, the built-in speakers are about 3.5 centimeters high. Look for some pics in this topic to see what it’s like. If you're looking for something else in the 20" WS department there are some alternatives. Read some more topics here ;)

I tested them right now. They're a waste of space for me. I mean I wouldn't listen to music on them. For computer beeps and whatnot I guess it's acceptable, for everything else... not really.

I’m going to forget about getting this panel then or any other TFT for that matter…Until manufactures wise up and make better panels, no more TFTs for me.

Yeah I’m not that happy with the Philips, for regular desktop use it’s a good enough monitor, but for movie playback it’s a bit awful, imo. Maybe my expectations are a bit high. I’m thinking the NEC could be better for movie playback since it has a glossy screen, higher contrast levels...

C´mon guys should I bother swapping the Phillips for the NEC? I really don’t like the contrast levels on the Philips and movieplayback ain’t that great. Should I get the Nec or keep my Philips?

I just bought the Philips from another shop recently and I’m not too happy with it. It has black light bleed. Don’t like the contrast levels, and watching films on the Philips is not that great. I’m thinking of returning it so I can get a NEC. I’m wondering if it’s worth the all hassle though...

IMO too flashy bordering on ugly, but nice effort, maybe some people will like that kind of thing.

Ordered one of these from another shop (because I’m not from the UK). I have a decent LG Flatron CRT atm and this will be my first LCD. I base my decision on what I’ve read here the past several months, I’m hoping it doesn’t disappoint.
