That’s not long been a feature, having to pay extra to not have adverts. The company is doing well enough it’s just money grubbing ****housery on their part.
Just turned it off to watch Gladiators (don’t judge me :D) been playing it for a few years on and off the Safer Seas update is great if you wanna just chill out and sail around for a bit.

The sailing and combat was good enough, the random singing from your crew raised a smile, but the other bits weren’t much cop. Certainly isn’t worth 50 quid (minimum).
Although they are different style of games I think Sea of Thieves is superior to it in pretty much every way really, but to be fair SoT has been out for a number of years and has been heavily refined.
Yeah, not going to be a full price purchase. I know it's in Open Beta, but it's been run as a demo and at present the graphics aren't up there with a fifty quid game.
I‘d just caveat that with it should be done case by case, if it’s an unstable country and there’s a good chance the artefacts could be damaged/destroyed then then they should be held in trust until the country stabilises to the point they can safely take them back.
This, also it could’ve been an auto dialler that scammers use to dial a phone number range at random, they’ll program random numbers into them as calling line IDs to get around anonymous call reject and could’ve used your number.
