would you believe it was the bios the whole time... updated it to latest and all the lag went away and COD4 runs in highest graphics and WoW also runs in highest graphics all perfect :D
Yup Cat uninstaller everytime i put on new drivers i always remove them first and i did the same for the new card removed the drivers put in the card and installed 8.4
The system with the old X1600XT in runs the games fine on high graphics but when i put in the 3650 the system slows right down and struggles to run the games that the slow card X1600XT can run. So what im saying is that maybe the new card has some sort of high requirements... the box says a...
I did a clean driver install of the latest 8.4 ati drivers and it was slugish still, im gonna see if the memory helps tomorrow so fingers crossed, still welcome to anymore suggestions though
Well COD4 would run before on the old x1600xt no problem but its World of Warcraft thats struggling to run, it ran fine before on the old card apart from when the card started having tearing issues but this card in theory is far superior and should not have any problems i would have thought...

I got same CPU diff mobo and mem but same gfx and i get 4934 on 3dmark06 and the CPU tests run like crap like 0 - 1 fps 2 if im lucky and the CPU score is about 800 :(
did a quick stress test on css on 1600x1200 6x aa 16x af all high with full HDR and went from an average 137fps to 142 so its an improvment, although im not sure about World of Warcraft it still seems to stutter with no change in the fps almost like it runs with nice fps but its really jumpy :(
Is there any word on the actual release of Cat 6.2? As so far ive seen word of mouth such as "first week in Feb" well its like the 4th Feb but ATi should really give some info as to when a real driver (not a 5.13 beta) is going to be released.
I get over 4000 on 3dmark06 (cant remember exact score) and i dunno if thats good... My cpu isnt overclocked and it gets a real crappy score of 700 on the cpu test with like 0-1 fps in the test :( dunno if thats normal for a 3700+ SD but games run fine i just wish i could get more juice out my...
Whats the case temp? and whats the airflow like from your bottom front fan to your expansion cards? i currently have a HIS x1900XT-X and its running off a 500w and my case is a TJ05 with a 120mm blowing through the hard drives to the x1900 but from the top of the card (side of the case) there is...
Well i tried to manually overclock the card to 650/775 using ATi Tool and well i got to about 630 before my screen messed up so scrap that idea it seems either it cant handle over 600mhz in 2d or it never goes over 505mhz :(
I noticed no sound increase on the fan when running games and 3dmarks05/06 so i dunno also people talk of temps upto 90c highest mine goes is about 65c and my cards a HIS.
Sorry for second post but a quick note about Doom3 and same goes for Quake 4 both games will see higher FPS in nVidia cards as apose to ATi because both those games seem to be nVidia designed like Half-Life 2 is for ATi.
Example being i can top over 200fps in games like Counter-Strike: Source...
If that would be so then why is it the same clocks on mine when running 3d apps? its almost like the CCC doesnt force the overclock...
Mines a HIS X1900XT-X and i would have thought boasting clocks of 650/775(1550) would mean base line not overclocked...
