You really put in the effort here, don't you? :D Oh well, even though i'm quite sure I've been at it as long as you..(even though I would not use it as an argument like you do) I cant stand this kind of arguing for the sake of just that. My point still stands as firm as ever, no matter how...

Umm, with raised "clocks" I simply mean higher frequency on the cpu...that are "validated" with an SP2004 or prime95...and if run another application to "steal" cycles that would render a higher "clock". After all this forum is named Overclockers UK, and focus is on overclocking..(or used to...

Very true. Best then would ofcourse be if all used priority10 to prevent "missleading" results, right? After all, if all used priority10 the results shown..(and presumably also used as reference) would be a viable aid for the others, right? Do you not share timings, settings and so on...

Sure it's the same calculations, but higher priority...calculations done faster. You really don't believe a P3 will calculate those calculations in the same time...do you? Higher system priority, more job done...and more stress on CPU. But who am I to tell you... Maybe you could try to...

Why are you guys so persistent on using only priority 1 on SP2004? You should set at least priority 7 for it to be a decent stresstest....prefereably 8-9. Proirity 1 just don't cut it...

I would stay on 3.1GHz, going above that requires to much voltage...just aint worth it. :D

New Intel P4 ,is this a good one?

Prescott runs hotter than Northwood. If under air cooling Northwood will clock better, if under better cooling solution Prescott will perform better.

Cooler is XP-120 that has been lapped and modified, a Nexus on top of it that spins @ 800-900rpm. Now on 1.19v and 2.7GHz and dead silent, would not have been possible with IHS still on. I'm happy with it.. ;)

Yes NOTE: This is with priority 9...everything under 8 is simply not valid!
