Try another cable or ditch it for a Mac Mini M1.... I went from a Trashcan D700 to a Mac Mini M1, barely noticed any difference!

All the rooms have sockets and are wired. It is where all the wires come do to the room which not needs sorting. The TPLink 24 Port switch and the Reolink NVR will be wall mounted to take up the least amount of space. Looking for a wall mounted patch panel, maybe a low profile one but they are £$£

I was reading about this way on a youtube review video, just wanted to know if the normal cat 6 cable will power the cameras or would I need actually poe cable instead, but looks like it should work fine.

I have some Reolink cameras but can I run Cat 6 cable or do I need PoE rated stuff to the NVR?

I was going to route them into a small cabinet. Just done some browsing and found a 12 port wall patch panel or one which is a 12 port jack modules which look easier to sort out Also can I use this cable for POE cameras?

I need the connectors the other end to connect to a switch though.
