I think it works by grouping you with a limited number of other people so that the object placement doesn't get out of hand.

I'm about 5 hours in and quite enjoying it. Its certainly not like anything I've played before and time will tell if I get fed up with the gameplay loop but the world and story are gripping.

I'm assuming it's not the psu because the system turns on just doesn't get passed the boot screen. It's a seasonic 600w jobbie. Should do the trick from what I can see.
