Yeah i'll agree - Gigabyte motherboards are awesome. Got the DS4 here and it is definitely the best motherboard i've owned. Got my e6300 at 2.8Ghz at the moment but it can easily overclock higher still.
I'd have to agree with AceCard, the Mushkin is top notch and at a great price too. I use this same memory in my rig. I now get much better performance in games (F.E.A.R. and TES4: Oblivion run a million times smoother on 2GB). For the price it's a steal.
Yeah Crysis should be a great game. I was (and still am) a big fan of Far Cry so hopefully this will be just as impressive. Hope it doesn't need the worlds most powerful system to play though.
I'm personally gonna be waiting until Vista is here and the early bugs are all ironed out. Plus the new hardware will have been out a while then and the price willl have dropped. I'm happy with my system for the time being and the wait will be worth it.
I own the x1900 xt-x and must say it is an amazing bit of kit, but I think that the 7900 GTX will also be a great card. Just depends what you are looking for. Both perform better in different games and apps. I faced the same decision when I went for mine but i'm so happy with my choice. :)
I though the PhysX cards were supposed to take pressure off the other components, not make them have to perform more work. Can't believe they sacrifice framerate just for a few fancy explosions. To me i'd rather have the game play well and slightly less eye candy.
yeah too true. If you can afford sli then that would be the way to go if you want to play at high resolutions. I use a normal tft at the moment and for the resolutions the monitor supports a single high powered card is perfect. It depends on what you're looking for.
Yeah but if you had 2 xt'x's against the 2 gtx cards the scores would be more even. Personally I have the 1900 xt-x and must say it is an awesome bit of kit.
I've owned both brands of graphics card and must admit that both companies cards have done me proud. To be honest both have strengths and weaknesses. I tend to choose ATI but thats only because i'm used to them now.
Silly question but have you checked that the clear cmos jumper is in the right position? If it's set to the clear cmos position it won't boot properly.
It just depends really. I had a similar choice to make. Had to choose between a 17 and 19 inch tft. In the end I settled on the 17 inch because i'll be sat so close to it. Guess it depends how close you're sitting to it as to how big you need it to be.
I was also thinking about maybe going for a 17 inch tft instead of a 19 inch one. I sit kinda close to the mointor so maybe that might be a better option. What are the best displays in the 17 inch market. Just don't know what to go for.
Hey guys. I'm kinda stuck on deciding between 2 monitors and wondered if anyone has an opinion on which to go for. I was thinking of either Viewsonic VX922 or Samsung SM-940BF. I am using this mainly for gaming but I want one that performs well all round. Have had a few Samsung monitors and...
Hey guys. Wonder if you can help me out here. I have just started to build a new PC for my bro. Got the whole thing set up and when I came to power on the fans start but nothing else happens. Then I try to turn the thing off to find that it will only turn off if i switch the plug socket off a...
