    Virgin Media Discussion Thread

Where we are there was no real alternative to VM so had to suck it and go with them for the last 5 years or so. Late last year Toob finally installed in my area as an alternative for only £25 a month for 900 down and up. Sadly, we had renewed with VM a month before Toob went live for another...

    Jesters* Crossfit Journey

I feel your pain. I decided to do 18.1 on the Monday instead of Friday night lights and woke up Saturday morning with an inflamed disc which happens to me from time to time and I haven't been able to do 18.1 at all :( Should have done it Friday night. I'm the only one in my box who didn't do...

Mate, that is an awesome time for 16.5! I've not done it myself before as I started Crossfit just after the 2016 games, but it fills me with dread...........when it appears as the WOD, I will cry, a lot. Bet it comes back for next years open!

    What does everybody do here?

I work in the project team for a managed services company so I spend my time configuring anything from a new Active Directory domain to setting up IPSec VPNs. I have started to do a bit more architecture/design work recently which is more interesting

+1, excellent paint, just done my skirting, architraves and doors with it. Easy to clean and dries stupidly quick.

    The nervous wait to exchange....

I used them on my first buy 7 years ago and they were utter rubbish then and I am not surprised they still are! Took 5 months from offer to completion and there was no one living in the flat to move out so no chain! Countrywide idiots. I moved into my house this year and used a local...

    Hiking, backpacking, trekking, mountaineering...

This is probably too late now but I did this last year. It was a very good walk and even though the peaks are not the highest I have ever climbed, doing 3 in a row is a challenge. NB, the last peak, Ingleborough is the most brutal with those cut in stairs. After doing 2 peaks already and 16+...

Rear ended this morning - how to proceed

I would avoid your insurance if it is at all possible as that non-fault claim WILL increase your premium for insurance renewal. Happened to me a few years ago and it jacked up my insurance for the following 3 years (maybe more) and it could have been avoided.

    Paint - Farrow & Ball

A mate of mine did his whole house and found the same it is going yellow. He ended up taking Dulux to a small claims court and got his money back. Might be worth doing the same?
