Ah, I didn't do that. However, when I click apply it does ask me if I want to keep the settings for when Windows loads. I always click 'yes' but it still doesn't stick.

I just use MSI's own in the display properties. It has it's own tab.

You guys seem to know what you're talking about so thought it would be a good place to start. I own an MSI NX7800GT which I believe is a great card. However, if I manually overclock and then restart the system the board resets to the 400MHZ default. It does it everytime but why does it do this...

For some reason my bios lets me select higher than 11. Don't know if it defaults back however - will check when I get home on Monday. Are Toledos restricted like the SDs are?

The great thing about my OEM 3700 is the multiplier isn't restricted to max of 11!!!!

Should've got the MSI K8N Diamond Plus (although £140). The reviews are great and it's overclocking abilities (bios) match the DFI boards. Love it!!

We might find that retail boxes start shipping with these chips. Doesn't this make sense from AMD's point of view? Why make (and therefore pay for) several chips when you can make one and just alter it with similar results. They did this before if I remember rightly - didn't the 1800, 2000, 2200...

Are the retail versions better overclockers than the OEM's then?

Is the E4 stepping better than the E6 and would the retail be any different? Also, why does it say '2' on your stepping specs above?

Do we know whether AMD will continue to produce the 939 cpu's like the X2 4400 after the switch to M2? That must be a consideration because of future upgrades. If I buy a 3700 now, will I be able to buy an X2 4400 in 12-18 months time? Must be on everyones mind.

Thanks guys. I think I'll buy the 3700 as that allows me to upgrade to perhaps the X2 4400 next year when hopefully it might be a lot cheaper and more programs/games utilise it. Late this summer I will add another 7800gt as well.
