Hi,
Have a CoolerMaster 330 case with Corsair H50 cooler with Noctua fans in a push pull config and 2x 2gb Corsair CM3X2G1600C9DHX of RAM. The H50 is on the way out and needs replaced. I'm looking at a Noctua NH-D14 but it is supposed to be huge and may not fit in the case, over the ram etc...
Hi again,
I bought the Ultima Warlord package off here and it came with the Akasa as the CPU cooler. When running several applications it constantly BSOD'ed. After various webnotes OC agreed to refund the Akasa. The H50 has made a massive difference to me. Sitting on an AMD 955 @ 3.8 at 40...
I had the Akasa with the Gigabyte MA790XT-UD4P board. It covered 2 of the RAM slots. Found the system ran very hot and ended up replacing the Akasa with the Corsiar H50. Temps dropped rougly 10 degrees at idle and freed up the RAM slots.
Have the H50 in my AM3 (955 clocked at 3.8)set up. Had an Akasa Nero when I first got it but temps were sitting at 55 idle at least. Put the H50 in along with Artic Silver Paste and 2 Noctua's in push/pull and now sitting at low 40's idle. Much happier. Tight enough squeeze getting the radiator...
Can't remember what other brackets were in the box!!! I know thet were all plastic with the small thin screws and plastic insets.Much prefer the old bracket, tried to put the new one on first, then tried the old one.Easier to put the old one on and feels more secure.Have the box in the attic so...
Got the -1 a few days ago. Using the 955 AMD. Had ordered the bracket from Corsair a few weeks ago. The new AMD bracket is (IMO) inferior to the old one. The one corsair sent me ($5 inc postage) is a far more sturdier bracket. The new one is plastic and has 4 quite small screws with plastic...
My tuppence worth... got the H50 fitted a few days ago with the Corsair recommended way..blowing air in. Put a Noctua fan on instead of the supplied one. Had another Noctua as an exhaust fan on the front of the case. The case is a Coolermaster Elite 330. Temps have been a problem since I got the...
Got the Ultima Warlord off here a while back. It's clocked to 3.8. Have had a lot of problems with it resetting etc. The overclock settings it came with were multiplier 19, FSB 200, and CPU voltage 1.52. Idle temps were mid 50's and running Prime the temps shot up to 80 really quick and reset...
Right....moved Pc into middle of the floor well away from obstructions. Ran Prime95. Within a few minutes the temp rose to 80c and the PC immediately restarted. This has happened on various occasions. Always gets to 80c then resets. Idle is sitting at 56c at present.Any ideas now?
Think I know now what it is. The PC is kept in a wooden cabinet behind two small doors with little room at the back. When checking temps with CPUID I was getting high 70's!!! Turned PC off for 20 minutes, took it out of the cupboard and it's sitting now at late 40's - early 50's. Still quiet...
Hi,
Not really. Seen the error pages and it seems to be telling me to check the RAM, although tests come back to say they're fine. How do you disable the caching in the BIOS? Looked but couldn't find the option. Would disabling it affect the overclocking?
Ordered this about 6 weeks ago.. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-063-OE&groupid=43&catid=1270&subcat= I get the BSOD on a very regular basis. At first I thought it was a software issueas it tended to crash when I was encoding avi files using ConvertXtoDVD. However, it...
A few months ago I upgraded my system and put in a 4400X2, Artic Pro 64 etc and no probs at all. First thing I noticed was the increase in noise from my old Silenx/Ahanix fan that I had on my old heatsink.I just left it like that. Now, with twins on their way in a few weeeks, my PC room is being...
Before you start, I know I got a bum deal with the board, but I'm stuck with what I got. I recently got the ECS KV2 Lite board with a AMD 4400X2 dual core and am looking to overclock it to 4800x2 speeds. By using the "Fuzzy Clock" software that comes with it (and also doing it manually in the...
You're gonna need a K8 backplate for the Thermalright. The Asrock doesn't come with one. I had one on order and tried everywhere in thr UK to get the plate, no joy. Had seen an online retailer in France selling them, but settled in the end for the Artic 64 Pro.
