When in Rome, how does one budget?

I went at the very beginning of July last year for a week and the daily highs never dipped below 40c! Stiffling at times, especially considering the amount of walking you'll be doing. Something I haven't spotted mentioned in this thread but which was probably my favourite part of my visit was a...

Can't believe they trashed those cars, what a waste! Enjoyed everything other than that.

The "Top Gear", Season 24/25/26 thread

I'm much prefer the Grand Tour if I'm being honest. It's still got that sense of adventure which I find the current Top Gear lacking. I find Rory is antagonistic just for the sake of it, and it doesn't seem genuine. Chris is slightly awkward, but I do enjoy his geeky input (e.g. cross vs flat...

Car that was the most fun to drive?

I had a Peugeot 205 XS which I'd stripped and fitted bucket seats to with harnesses, boy was that a hoot to drive. 80 bhp 1.4 engine with a Solex carb and short ratio gearbox, even going to the shops was an adventure.

    Rome for a week

I went to the Vatican/Sistine Chapel/St. Peters last Monday in a pair of shorts which just covered the knee, no problems. It was 38c mind so maybe they'd made an allowance for the heat. I took a pair of pants along just in case I had to change but thought I'd chance it first. There were...

    Rome for a week

I'm just back from a week in Rome, absolutely loved it, walked 56 miles in 7 days! Apart from everything mentioned, I also took a day trip out to Santa Marinella beach. It's just an hours train ride from Termini and tickets are only €4.80 single. Lovely beach and some lovely seafood...

Robert Miles - The iconic name behind 'Children' has died

In the late 90s you could turn on MTV Dance and have a Baleric rave at any time on any day of the week. I've never really moved on, I'm constantly scouring Mixcloud for classic trance mixes from back in the day.

    2007 Kia Ceed Busted Ignition

Grind up some pencil graphite in to a powder and use a straw to blow it in the lock. I've fixed a few dodgy barrels using this method.

    Roller Shutter Tensioning

Anybody know anything about how to tension a roller shutter on a workshop unit? I've recently moved in to a new unit and the door won't support itself in the open position.

    Holiday to Fuerteventura! Much excite!

My other half's Father lives in Caleta de Fuesta so we've been to visit a few times. Aromas is very very good Indian if you fancy a curry, you can also get a very good Italian at La Bodeguita. Fado Rock is a very nice steak house but gets very busy so worth booking. Saturday nights are all...

BBC Top Gear - Series 23 discussion thread

It was nice to see MLB taking a more prominent role in the studio, particularly during the 1st half of the show, I think he could pull off being the lead presenter very well if the BBC give him the go ahead. I don't think CE is particularly needed, I could envisage Sunday's episode without him...

    Excel COUNTIFS help

You can't use the left formula on a column like that, it works on single cells at a time, unless you put it in to an array formula. When you are using "text" as your criteria, are you saying the cell will actually contain the word text somewhere within, or are you trying to say count if the...
