It seems it was steam that was causing the issue. Some sort of keyboard overlay. Turn steam off, issue resolved.

Indeed the above is true! I think like HybridX i have been dying for a game like this for years. I played Eve since early 2004 and prayed it would become an FPS flight game rather than a point n click to make your ship go in a particular direction, it didn't :/. I have since given up...

Neither alpha nor beta....they have just released the hanger module for you to get a basic feel for the gfx layout etc...i believe there will be a part testing release for dog fighting soon.
