    U will need to apply a small amount of tim and spread it with a credit card or something similar to the fenrir to fill the gaps between the base and the heatpipes and then go ahead with the grain of rice on the cpu.

    that isnt stricly true with the limited overclocking on non K versions you can add the extra 4 multi that is availabe plus the turbo mode. So on a 2500 you would have 3700 then the turbo would work over and above that so you could have 3800 using 4 cores, 3900 using 3 cores and so on. but you...

    Are the sata ports set to AHCI in the bios, This will cause problems with XP as it will need seperate drivers to operate correctly. These are available from the intel site.

    that is consistent with going from 2 - 4 GB ram, did u see if there was a bios update? Might just be a compatability thing?????
