You need to make sure that the colour space that you're using on your camera and the colour space which you use in any editing / archiving software is the same. For example, if you're using the sRGB colour space on your camera, you need to make sure that the active photoshop colour profile...
I've got a 5D 2 at the moment and I love it. So much better than my old 350D, pictures are better, handling is nicer and it looks quite beefy :)
I agree with the above posters that you'll need some decent glass to get the most out of the sensor but there would be cheaper alternatives available...

I'm now a proud owner of a 5d MK 2 + 24-105 as of earlier today and will be looking for a decent memory card reader as the files from the 5d are a lot bigger than the ones from my old 350.
Was wondering if anyone could give me some suggestions for good quality and fast card readers...
I agree with both of the above.
The apperture you have will vary depending on the DOF you're after and also wether or not you wanrt 'starry' lights.
You will also need some light to shoot with, so shooting at / around sunset and sunrise is a good idea if you're wanting to shoot specific...
I second the idea of using 2 guns with brollies to provide cross lighting asI can imagine it being a tad difficult to light 5 people wel with only one light source. Obviously, this will depend on the space you're shooting in and what, if any, ambient light is available and also will depend on...
Logic says to me that if you could afford a better model with the money you have available to you, go for it. If you're just starting off / only been doing it for a while though don't jump straight into the really expensive pro bodies.
So I had another muck about today in my hours of boredom and decided to go even more creative this time. Coloured the water I was dripping into red and messed about with camera levels and the angles at which I was reflecting the light from the backdrop paper. Quite chuffed with what I captured...
