    MBA and .NET dev?

I got a MBA 13" i7 last week, and I'm using Visual Studio 2010 SP1, Windows 7, IIS, ReSharper 6 on Parallels 7. Bear in mine I've not used it too much, but it works fine for me. The VM doesn't leave a lot of RAM for much else though. I wouldn't run the VM from an external drive, IMO always run...

    Going Silent.

Just copying the co-ordinates in the EXIF data into Google Maps shows me exactly what house you live in. I'd be careful what photos you upload to the internet from your iPhone, or alterntively turn off the geo-tagging feature.

    Jailbreaking with Windows & Quickpwn

Yeah, you just update to 2.2 in iTunes, and use Quickpwn 2.2 to jailbreak it, I did it 2 days ago. Unless you want the iPhone unlocked - then you need to be on 2.1, and use Quickpwn to update to 2.2.

Can you hear background noise (ie quiet crackling/hissing) when using on-board sound? If so, background noise should be reduced when using your new soundcard. Maybe you wanna compare the two for background noise?

After listening to music through a friend's set of Senn HD25, I was convinced that I had to buy a pair! The moment I received them in the mail I thought I'd give them ago and I was disappointed with how they sounded - they just didn't sound as good as my friend's pair. However, I never sent them...

    Windows 7

It's so poo! I wouldn't have thought that designing a taskbar to have an instance per monitor would be that much work, considering they're redesigning it. Lots of people use multi-monitor systems in industry! Ah, well.... looks like I should start researching into how to go about hacking the...

Why is a dual core more expnesive than a quad? (E8600, Q6600)

FSX runs quite nicely on my E8400 and 8800GTS, but you'll find that most computers still can't handle FSX on max settings, especially when flying in densely populated areas. As you like flying simulators, I also recommend you check out X-Plane. It's a very good simulator, may not look as pretty...

I dunno about the HD555 but I have HD25 (monitor headphones), and those made MP3s sound much better than my hifi speakers, you could make out more detail and depth to the music which you wouldn't notice otherwise!!! :D I do have all my music ripped at 320kbps though.

Please tell me how dual screen support has improved in Windows 7! I was hoping someone would answer my question about whether the taskbar can span both screens too?

    DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE

I was having the same message after installing VMware - it turned out that one of the drivers installed by VMware was causing the problem and once I uninstalled it I stopped getting the blue screen.

    Windows 7

How often do you install software and drivers? Everyday? For most people it's not a regular occurence, and updates are like once a week. Also when you say about making a cup of tea while vista boots up - I find no reduction in performance on boot, even with a bit of hard drive thrashing - so...

    Windows 7

Has anyone tried Windows 7 with a dual monitor setup? I wanna know if it's possible to span the new taskbar across both screens. If so can someone post a screenshot please? Also, I'd thought I'd chip in my own experience on Vista and hard drive thrashing. I personally have found that Vista...
