    High-spec gaming build for £1000-1300?

Hey all, My brother-in-law is looking to get a gaming PC, and he’s been looking at the Alienware Aurora R9. He’s got a budget of a maximum of around £1300 (but I think he’d probably prefer to spend around £1000 unless it’s a huge benefit to go higher), and I told him he could probably do a lot...

    Gaming spec check (RDR2, specifically)

This is my build for a budget gaming PC to play Red Dead Redemption 2. Budget is around £600-700 max. Any suggestions? EDIT: I already have a monitor, in case that was confusing.

Looking to spec a new HTPC (low budget)

Oh, I totally forgot about another requirement: it needs an optical audio out port. Or alternatively I'll need a sound card as well, I guess?

Looking to spec a new HTPC (low budget)

This is my case: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/zalman-hd501-home-theatre-pc-case-black-free-be-quiet-120mm-fan-ca-042-za.html Does that change anything in terms of the spec? It all sounds good to me. :)

Looking to spec a new HTPC (low budget)

My old HTPC has packed up, unfortunately. My budget for a new one is pretty small as I'm saving for a wedding, but I wanted to see what I could get. Ideally if I could keep it below £300-400 that would be ideal. I have a case, I won't need a DVD drive, or a keyboard/mouse or anything like that...

    Looking for a gaming/media PC spec (£700ish)

The case is a Zalman HD501, thanks for the spec! Looks good. Do you think it'd fit in the case?

    Looking for a gaming/media PC spec (£700ish)

I currently have a media/gaming PC, hooked up to my TV. I am looking to replace the entire thing with a new build (I'm looking to play newer games like The Witcher 3 and GTAV, and my current one just isn't up to it). I won't need a keyboard or mouse, monitor, or hard drives. I also have a...

Looking to build HTPC to run MediaPortal, £500 budget

I'm going to need: - Case - CPU - Graphics Card - RAM - Motherboard That's probably all. Already have a hard drive ready to go. The HTPC is going to be exclusively used for playing TV/Movies (mostly in 720p/1080p), so needs to be able to easily handle HD video.

    Can't get a picture with my 6950 2GB

Well, it started working... I'm just not really sure what I did! All seems good though, thanks for the help guys!

    Can't get a picture with my 6950 2GB

I received this today from Overclockers, but I can't get a picture out of it. My motherboard is a GA-EP45-DS3 and I was using an ATI card previously (Radeon 4850). I've tried all the slots and two different monitors, but nothing. I've also tried all the PCI-E slots in my motherboard (although...

Looking for some gaming headphones, budget £50-70

The reviews say the bass is quite low, which is a concern. Do you have a pair? How is the bass?

Looking for some gaming headphones, budget £50-70

I'm looking for the best quality gaming headphones I can get for that budget. I'll be playing stuff like Crysis 2, Witcher 2, Skyrim (when it comes out). Any suggestions?

    Upgrade for Witcher 2?

I play on a pretty nice LCD monitor at 1920x1080, so I guess graphics card is pretty important. PSU-wise, I'm not sure, but I'm pretty sure it's fairly good. I'll need to check when I'm at home.

    Upgrade for Witcher 2?

So maybe for now I should just splurge out on a super powerful graphics card (for future proofing purposes). It may get bottlenecked a bit by my CPU, but it'll most likely be some improvement and I can always upgrade my motherboard and CPU later on in the year. Sound sensible?

    Upgrade for Witcher 2?

The saving isn't really an issue, it's the spending and justifying that's the problem! :)
