OCZ 2GB 2.1v Kit And P5K
I'm currently using a P5K Motherboard with an OCZ 2x1GB CL4-4-4-15 800MHz 2.1v Kit and I'm having intermittent POST problems. The usually boot sequence for a trouble free POST is:
Power on
Pc switches on, then off again almost straight away
Pc then switches itself back...
They do exist, I have come across them before on my searches for various networking items. Unfortunatly I couldn't name any particular models, will have a look around and see if i can dig any up for you
All the best
Could you try disabling any firewalls between the PCs. Also, check you are using the same username/passwords on both PCs, i have had trouble in the past with authentication and printer sharing.
All the best
From a brief browse around netgear's website your access point should support a "Point-to-point wireless bridge mode", I haven't been able to download the manual so I couldn't say how to set that up but it sounds like it should do the job.
All the best
Just retried my old modem to see if there had been a change in my line or anything. The SNR once DSL was sync'ed was 17 but quickly dropped to 10 within about a minute. Upon reconnecting my new modem the SNR was once again 17 and has stayed there for the past 5 minutes as it has done for the...
I have just bought myself a Draytek 2600 Plus to replace my D-Link 602T in the hope i will have better line stability with my normally very low SNR. The typical SNR reading on my old D-Link was between 8 and 10 connected to one extension cable from the master socket. My new Draytek connected to...
Have you tried a different channel on wireless?
Also, how far away from the wireless AP from your phone base station?
I used to have a problem with poor sound quality on my cordless phones until I moved my wireless AP away, no problems after that.
All the best
Thanks tolien.
After reading up on DLM and reading your post in

I see how you mean it extends beyond the "10 days" marker for data collection
Sounds like your OK to go with any of the above suggestions. May be worth checking what type of wireless security they use, if any, and make sure you get a card that can handle their security type.
Your SNR seems very low, which could cause drop outs. From what I have read some modems are better at holding a connection with a lower snr than others. Tolien seems to know more about ADSL Max, he should have a better idea?
There is a 10 day "trial" period when you should expect your line to drop connection whilst BT find the best speed for your line. How long have you had ADSL Max?
Best bet is a better ariel. I picked two up for about £15 from ebay and managed to connect my AP to my friends PC over the road through several outer walls still at 11mbps.
