Hi, Im looking for a sound card that I can connect my Xbox 360 to digitally... If i buy a Creative Audigy card with the drive bay adaptor that has Optical input, will I be able to connect my 360 to this input and get 5.1 surround sound out of my speakers?? Thanks

I got a SATA2 Western Digital Caviar 250GB 16mb Cache, cost something like £65 when I was building my new system up. I just connected it up and installed Normal Windows XP (NO Updates) on it like normal and it worked fine but only showed up as 127GB as XP doesnt recognise drives over 127GB...

how does that happen?

Damn that was fast!!!.. Just used Partition Magic to increase the Size of my C Drive to the full 250GB (as XP now recognises my drive is over 127gb in size) and it only took 2 seconds to unlock the other 110GB!!! :D

ok, will do this the next time my computer goes dodgy then :) Cant be arsed re installing all the drivers etc as I just spent a day or 2 doing that last week :p I might try Partition Magic to give me the rest of my harddrive back as I just installed SP2 to remove that annoying 127gb...

you could probably build a system for just recording music for around £400 (Much Less if you go with a CRT monitor) You can get a Mothboard Bundle like this one - AMD Sempron 2800, 512MB RAM, Socket 754 Motherboard Micro ATX for £125, Then just buy a cheap Case £25, then a cheap PSU...

My £5 PSU has been running for 2 years and is still fine ;)... Bought a £40 Hiper and it went boom :p within 0.1 seconds...

Most PSU's have 20 / 24 Pin option dont they?? I know that Hiper I had and the Jeantech have a 20 Pin connector and a 4 pin connector which joins the 20 pin connector to make a 24pin to work on either...

maybe try plugging it in and flicking it on before connecting your hardware to it just to make sure ;)... Also, remember to wear safety specs :p :D hehe
