I might well have another fiddle with the second image soon. You're right about the darkness in the clouds, they're just too prominent. There was originally a lot of ground in the shot, but as I'm a poor student...

It depends. If you plan on scanning anything else other than slides in the future, I'd go for the flatbed with the adaptor. I've got one myself, and while I didn't use it to scan slides I did use it to scan 35mm negatives. I was pleased with the results. On the other hand a dedicated scanner...
No, I have a similar breed of car but one infinitely better: a Corolla. Albeit a dodgier colour than yours. Turquoise is most definitely not for the win. Never mind eh, I barely see the colour on the inside of my car while I overtake your broken down unreliable pseudoEnglish car. :D
There's a reason people hate Corsas you know. They're awful to drive and aren't the most aesthetically pleasing car in the world.
I do like the effect though, with a little tweaking and a different subject it could prove very interesting.
