I really want them to do some smaller scale maps like SWAT3/4 had. Just individual residential houses etc Always found those the most enjoyable maps rather than the big sprawling ones with 10 perps.
VR still isn't a comfortable enough experience for long periods of time for me. I'm happy to have a play on something for 45 minutes or so but anything beyond that it's just not that enjoyable.
It definitely doesn't feel as big an upgrade as I was hoping for.
When people said you could use your phone and computer through the passthrough I expected it to be a lot sharper than it was. Personally I find it much easier to take the headset off than try to angle my phone to the right angle...
Thought everything was alright with my G9, but the popping started yesterday. Boy it's annoying! Its literally every 3 or 4 seconds. Does this get any better? It even continues after I turn the computer off and my computer is in my bedroom so there's no way I can put up with this long term :(
Just had a G9 from Overclockers. Disappointed to see it's got FA01 on the back though. Assumed ordering in December I wouldn't end up with the first batch :(
I did just update Windows and turned on GPU scheduling acceleration. Unfortunately still no difference to framerates though. No matter the settings I seem to be stuck on the same framerates :p Never had this with a game before.
Thanks. I'll have a look. I did try and find the GPU Scheduling option earlier but it didn't appear to be an option. Will have another look later. I'm not massively tech savvy - had never heard of infinity fabric settings. Will do some Googling :p
I've tried lowering the settings to the lowest and the framerates are virtually identical. Dropped the resolution down to 1920x1080 and still the same. Starting to think it must just be a software bug - a lot of other people seem to be having the same problem with high spec PCs. Lot of Ryzens...
I ran the developer mode to see if I can get to the bottom of the poor framerate and its saying 'Limited by Main Thread' - does that mean the CPU is being the problem?

Getting a framerate of around 15fps in New York in a Cessna with a 4950x, 64gig ram and 2080ti. High settings not ultra. 3840x1050 res. Looks like I need a new PC and I've only had this one a week.
Hmmm. Not sure whether to stick with my G9 preorder or start looking for something else. Don't want to be waiting 2 or 3 months really. What's the best alternative right now?
