    if it were my fight for whatever reason, i would not expect him to do anything, i honestly wouldnt. and i would DEFINITLY not expect the 'him' in question to hit her back, at all. but whether the friend with me was male or female, you would naturally restrain the attacking, not lay into them...

    this isnt just about 'his woman'.. this is about anyone he so much as considers a friend, as well. and i dont find it acceptable that it would resort to hitting someone, rather than just restraining someone...

    i think pregnant fiance is a very different situation... it might change things if the entire situation could be explained without launching a personal attack. but it cant, really, so i wont. but i shall simply say ive taken a lot of abuse from said ex in the past, and the girl in question...

    agreed. i think its less to do with gender, as you have now pointed out (and made my own thoughts clearer) tis to do with how strong one or the other is. and the other, that i was in this conversation with, is clearly convinced he is stronger than me, but also believes he would be very willing...
