I would definitely agree with not bothering with the BT SH2 and the mesh discs - I found them unreliable and didn’t make much difference to signal. Although BT normally give them away free via chat if you complain. I’m starting to looking Ubiquiti UDR and some 6 Lite’s - not so much for better...

Bit the bullet and had my iPhone 11 battery replaced yesterday for £69 from Apple. Was degraded to 76% so nice to have +24% extra again. Also treated to an Elago silicone case from the rainforest (£11.89) and iOS 16 - feels like a new iPhone ! Mentioned about the new iPhone 14 battery...

Thinking exactly the same, currently on 76% but for £69 to get an extended lease of life it’s a bargain compared to spending ~£1k. The phone is quick enough, decent enough camera and no real stand out features on the new models to warrant switching.

I tried to haggle over the phone and didn’t get anywhere. Any tips on how you managed to push them down to £35 a month? Comparing it to Vodafone? How you finding the broadband?

That’s a seriously impressive ping - plus download/upload speeds. What setup do you have with router etc? My BT contract ends on the 8th October. So I’ll switch to TT Future Fibre 500 at the start of September. As long I get the order placed by 8th Sept it’ll give 30 days notice

Tempted to do the same - when do you switch? There’s also cashback available over £100 which does make it slightly cheaper than £32 but equally it might not track/paid. Currently on BT Gigabit but overkill for our needs and 500/70 would be a better option for nearly half the price. Anyone...

Looking into this but apart from that post from the Octopus rep I’ve not seen anything else which confirms the units being fixed for 12 months. Have you confirmed it with Octopus or seen any other T&Cs?

Same position here, waiting to here back from Octopus that will go onto standard tariff (which it should do as that’s the default if no fixed tariff chosen)

Just noticed Octopus have pulled the SVR option. Our fixed tariff runs out in October, and was planning to go onto it which was the default option - still hoping that’s the case. Guess it’s been removed to avoid any new customers coming over on it
