I bought one of those plastic Holga lenses off eBay for a tenner. Photography was rubbish but you can get some interesting effects filming video with them.
My advice would be save the money and put it towards a lensbaby tilt transformer :D
Hello OcUK
I'm about to send my Desire off to mazuma. There's a lot of personal information on the phone which I want to delete first, however I can't do anything because the screen is cracked.
Phone will turn on fine etc. just I can't see what I'm doing!
Is there a way of doing a hard reset...
That Samsung looks nice GT3. I was reluctant to use Android again after the traincrash my Desire has been the last few months, but might be tempted by that.
Anyone on 3? Are they any good? I've only ever been on O2 and Orange. All-you-can-eat data for £15 a month on PAYG looks useful.
Alright fellas,
About to finish my contract on O2. Selling my Desire and I'm after something basic but functional.
I want something Blackberry-esque on a budget. It also needs to be usable overseas as I'm going backpacking around SE Asia later this year (this is 'quad band' I think?)
Needs...
Reading on an iPad gives you iStrain ;)
I get mine from the rainforest place mostly, or from Waterstones if I want something to read but not sure what.
Gonna try mine out in a min. i5 760 @ 4Ghz.
Btw I read it's quicker to pass one extra job to make than the number of CPUs you have. So -j5 for a quad core CPU, and presumably -j13 for a six-core with hyper-threading.
Have you tried GNOME3 fallback? I hear it's pretty much the same as GNOME2.
Openbox is good, but requires far too much customisation to be a replacement for GNOME2 - that is unless you're happy with the endless tweaking! XFCE would be my suggestion.
Chromium is buggy at the moment. It was giving me countless page load timeouts on lots of sites. I switched to FF4 and the problem has disappeared. :o
Looks fine on Linux anyway. Screenie!
Congrats :) Arch is my favourite distro. It looks a bit daunting at first but once you figure out the basics it certainly lives up to the KISS principle that it strives to follow.
Once you're comfortable with pacman look at replacing it with something like clyde. In addition to all of pacman's...
Well guys I reinstalled the internet and that didn't help. So I got my friend to upload me a graphics card and some more CPU Mhz and it's working fine now!
Had it for several weeks with this and several other sites (some wikis and other forums I visit). I thought it was my terribad ISP tbh.
Using Chrome too
I know riding like this is borderline suicidal but oh my god it looks fun!
I have an urge to go out on my bike and do a Crazy Taxi on some cars and pedestrians now.
