    Boots glasses cleaning cloth, lint free & very soft with a few drops of water to make it damp. no chemicals here and works a treat @ £1.50 ;)

    I would expect the back lights to be excessivley bright bright when a monitor is brand new and then to age to normal levels quite quickly. this maybe what your seeing. Chris

    I have the same TV and using the pc through vga gives stunning image quality on my set, although I prefer to us the PC on my 21" NEC LCD2170NX. :)

    Scan Coils or Linearity Chokes mate. no such thing as rewinding coils ;)

    Yeah I know. I much prefered working on AV equipment than boreing telephone systems. even though Siemens Kit is pretty Hi tech now. I just hate all that cabling :mad:

    Exactly, I did 8 years as a fully qualifyed TV engineer and the industry basically went extinct because it became impossible to earn a living doing free estimates then aborting the job after quote. glad to say telecoms isnt quite as bad ;) . there will be a lot of disgruntaled users out there in...

    Bought an NEC2170nx myself , 0 dead pixels, cracking image. great for gameing. all in all a good investment even though it cost £550. Well pleased here ;)

    It can take a lot of time and experience to diagnose problems with TV's and Monitors. Ok some faults can be done quickly but many require a couple of hours to find. Engineers need to earn a living like the rest of us so I think its unreasonable to expect a free diagnosis :rolleyes:
