BF2 was one of the first games that showed a real performance boost when you went to 2 gig of ram, it's well worth having that. My rig is very similar to yours (see sig) and I run it maxed out and performance has always been flawless. :D

I just got into Baldur's Gate 2 recently and I'm blown away, it's fantastic. I don't know why people are mentioning the graphics being outdated though - it's got absolutely lovely 2D pixel art backgrounds, quality art like that doesn't date nearly as badly as old 3D games. Loads of things to do...

Medieval 2 absolutely crushes Rome. :D I can't remember the last time a game glued me to my computer for hours on end like this does. I didn't really like Rome so much, I only played about one and a half campaigns before I was fed up.

What games is the power of an 8800 needed for? Oblivion maxed out at 1600x1200! Tom's hardware vga charts indicate that the 8800 GTX still 'only' gets 30.5 FPS average with those settings (outside rather than indoors, clearly). So not even an 8800GTX is actually fast enough really. :p

The thing is, I tried running a game with it and the 'current memory usage' value decreased! And sometimes it just declares I have no memory at all. :confused: Perhaps it doesn't support my card or drivers?
