    Smartguardian

Its not DFI only, its for any board which uses the IT8712F PWM chip. it just so happens that the DFI's and the A8N-E both use it, as im sure many NF4 boards do. Btw ive used speedfan for ages on my A8V Deluxe, but it has issues with this board, mainly te fact that when it access certain...

    Pci-E Mobo

AGP is not a bottleneck, its the same old story, blind them with science. Current crop of cards and prolly next 3 generations would run happily on agp 8X. Its just another excuse to make u uppgrade perfectly serviceable hardware...needlessly (unless u want the latest GPU).

    Smartguardian

hi I recently (after much frustration) downloaded the Smartguardian program from the ITE site, as the Asus Q-Fan control is crap. I found this prog to be quite versatile (although i still cant control fan2 & 3) I then found out that DFI actually have this prg listed in their support...

    Should my Northbridge be ok?

The mobo temp is NOT your northbridge temp, ive have the same mobo and been using the zalman on the chipset for about a week with no problems. Asus say the Mobo temp can go up to 60C If u have any movement of air in your case at all the zalman should suffice, i persoannly ripped the fan...

    Speedfan and Asus A8N-E

Ive just stumbled upon something interesting. I was browsing the ITE site (makers of the sensor chip the A8N-E uses) and i found a program called Smartguardian that they make/use to access the ITE8712F chip directly. After trying it, it appears to let you control and monitor everything...

    A8N-E Assorted Problems

Hi Ive had this A8N-E mobo a while now, previously had the original A8V Deluxe. Out of the 2 i prefer the A8V cos it had far less problems. 1) Noisy chipset fan, im sure everyone has been through this, even the rev 2 fan is far too noisy, and has to be removed, i stuck a Zalman ZM-NB47J on...
