Corrupt drive Hi Guys a little help recovering data? I need to get a static IP address of a corrupt drive I've slaved the drive to a second PC and I can access it I need to find out if windows store a copy of the static somewhere in the route. Any Ideas :confused:

The smoke came from the power connector which conects to the 4 pins in the HDD. It looks like there's to much power going to the HDD from PSU? There both two new IDE HDD, so I don't think it will be that. So that just leaves the PSU but that power's my Sat2 HDD and thats fine...

I got this mobo about 3 weeks ago and it came with the 0701 bios, I would think by now that all the new release asus boards come with this bios or newer. I had my mobo from OcUK with 2Gb of G Skill and 6400 Core 2 and it ran straight out of the box. Good luck with your build :D
