Is this on an ST220?
Have you tried it with the light units totally disconnected to rule out a fault in an actual lamp like corrosionborvwater ingress.
If it's Fuse 80 on the ST220 then it's just for the reverse lights.
You could have a fault maybe relating to the parking sensor control unit...
Got a motgage & i bought my phone direct from Samsung at 0% as they were offering £370 trade in on my old device but otherwise nothing.
Own both cars outright, no credit cards etc.
Mileage based makes more sense to me. My Mondeo ST220 costs £415 a year to tax & does about 800 miles a year, so about 52p a mile in VED. Whereas my Jaguar XE costs £35 a year & I cover about 10k miles in it, 0.35p per mile.
My Mondeo should be costing me £2.80 a year to tax!
(I am semi joking)
It's almost always cheaper to fix the car you have.
I spent £13,050 on a car last year & 3 weeks later found out it wanted £2k spending on a new timing chain, luckily the dealer paid for it without any hassle.
I don't think they should be banned but I do think parents should have be more responsible for how & when they are used.

Started prepping Ye Olde ST220 to come out of hibernation.
Replaced the reverse gear sensor, parking sensor speaker & the PCV valve as i've my suspicions it was dodgy. Replaced the fuel pump the other week too as that had siezed over winter.
Just a full service to do on it and we're good for...
I've disabled the OBD2 Port on my car & overnight it has a disklock on it to put off the opportunist.
Most of the ones round here seem to leg it when disturbed.
I would hope a couple of minutes have passed whilst the ourdoor alarm is screaming away before they figure out that the OBD aint...
Why are you bothering with a warranty claim? If the arch liners are loose due to missing clips & it's caused damage then it's thecl Consumer Rights Act you use, not a warranty.
They have sold you a defective vehicle.
Straight lining roundabouts seems to be a real issue now.
Last year my dad had someone do it to him, how the XC90 driver didn't spot the 40-ton HGV to his right I have no idea as he hit about half way down the truck & made contact with the 2nd axle.
Yeah, it's nit that simple. Your risk profile may have reduced as part of a re-rating procedure which has negated the increase.
When I worked for an underwriter we had a base price, a starting point if you will & then different factors & loadings effectively acted as multipliers &...
Done it when working away, in fact I always do it when working away! No point sitting in a hotel room so go out, grab a few beers, get a meal etc, doing it at home though, that would just feel odd for some reason.
