I run the older style AMD CPU (XP 3000 Athlon). I know the current P4 Prescott chips need special cooling hoods and cowels for thier cases. Do the new AMD 64 and AMD dual core need these fancy cooling pipes. My Lian Li PC-6 plus doesn't have any of these.

It was two problems, firstly yes the cable supplied with the board was wrong (it has a blocked off pin) I had it working in my last case by turning it around and trying it until it worked. Tried turning it around and it again it didn't work. So I did buy a new one (fancy round one no less!)...
