Hi all, Getting new kit on Tuesday from OCUK and debating whether to stay with water cooling or just go for a decent air. I need some advice on air coolers just in a case i decide to go for air. I was looking at Thermaltake Frio, would that be a good choice or would you recommend anything...

1st, i was using this clock only for benching ;). I'm using DFI Expert mobo. Settings was like this: HTT 274 - x11 - divider 166 - 1.68V in BIOS/1.66V in Windows + i added 0.1V for chipset (NB) as well. Cant remember temps, but was OK :). Cheers

Hi mate, all you doing is awkward. My advice to you is to find out maximum stable settings for CPU and RAM separately. 1. Put RAM on lowest divider and then overclock your CPU and see how far you can go. 2. When you get max stable from your CPU, then lower multi and play with RAM to...

Max i got out with my AIR cooling was 3014MHz :D. Cheers P.S. But avarege is 2.7-2.8GHz i would say as well.

To say that system is stable enough i would say you need to be able to run for 12h with no errors. If you want make sure your system is rock solid then for 24h with no errors ;). Hope it helps. Cheers

You can lower HTT multiplayer with no worries because it's has no impact on performance ;).

What kind of memory you using?

As i told i was using 1.68 for benching, to achieve good results you need to take some risk. And i never saw my CPU temperature jumping over 40c with 1.68V :D. I even played a couple online games @ this voltage :eek: and as you can see my PC still running :). My limit for benching on AIR is...
