There is no extra heat. The fans on the 980 kick in around 62 degrees. At Idle 29 degrees. I have the HAF X case, and 200mm fan blows onto card. The 580 is for phsyx. No System slow down, I have benchmarked with 580 in and out. I be getting another 980 in a few months time.

The 580 is being used for PhysX only. I will get another 980 FTW in a few months. So will be back to SLI. Its not slowing me down, or causing any extra heat in the system. Have to say I am impressed with the evga 980 FTW with ACX 2.0, fans don't kick in until temp of card hits 62degrees...

Its simple, I dislike AMD, I dislike crossfire, I don't like there drivers...hence I wont buy there products.

Maybe will go for 1 x 980, and use the 1 x 580 just for PhysX. I have the room I my system, as well as a large PSU.
