He reckons he doesn't make much profit on the dinner (as you'd expect) but it's more business behind the bar where the money is coming in.
Something like 5x more turnover since they've done it.
I decided to eat as few carbs as I can today and I will continue to do so. The only thing I've had that contains any worth mentioning are a few carrot sticks and about half a portion of mash at lunch. Other than that I've had a protein shake and two boiled eggs. I'm feeling a bit under the...
I know this is turning into 21 questions, but I just need some more information.
Approximatly how many carbs per day should I be eating to hit and stay in ketosis?
I know it's pretty much impossible to put an exact figure on it, but does anyone know anything that works out or equates how many calories you would passively burn in a day without any strenuous activity or exercise?
Atleast then I can get some idea of what defecit would bring what results.
Oh right, just another myth then. I've just heard it before that you can only take them if you're training hard otherwise it turns it to fat.
The reason I find them a good option (for me, atleast) is because it's generally quite hard to find a low-carb meal where as my shakes have...
So all of this protein that I would get from taking shakes wouldn't have a negative effect on me if I'm not training?
I've just heard people before say "if you take shakes but don't work out then you'll get fat" so I'm not sure if that's the case or not.
Is taking protein shakes without training a good idea? The one I have has 25g of protein per shake and creatine, taurine etc so I don't know if it's a good idea or not.
Would a whey concentrate low carb shake be a good idea to have say in the morning instead of breakfast in order to lose weight?
Because I really don't know.
To be honest I think once I've reached a weight I'm happy with I will be more likely to set about improving my fitness levels as it will be easier lumping less luggage around.
Plus by eating more sensibly in order to lose weight I am being more healthy anyway.
Well I think I've kinda proved myself that exercise isn't vital in weight loss. I've been eating more sensibly for the last few weeks and i've lost over half a stone with no exercise other than passive things like walking to and from college etc.
I think drunkenmaster has the right idea, if...
Hmm, fair point... although I've read somewhere that it's when you drop below about 1200 calories per day that your body goes into 'survival mode' and slows your metabolism down.
I'm sure that exercise is helpful and can speed the process up, i'm just unsure to what extent it is needed.
Now obviously exercise is good no matter how much you do in aid of weight loss, but is it essential in order to lose weight? The reason I ask this question is because surely if you consume let's say 1500 calories per day then you're still going to be losing considerable weight, so in effect it's...
