i am using the adaptor supplied with the card - dvi to vga i dont have a dvi port on my monitor just a vga port

if u read my edit it started to fail on that monitor aswell, i tried it on 3 different monitors to rule out the monitor, i used different power leads and different leads to connect the pc to the monitor and they all fail, trust me its not the monitor i have now started to get it to work ok...

monitor works fine been using it on my other pc for weeks now

i have bought all the parts and it wont run under vista, i get a no signal input but it will run fine under xp pro, so i was just making sure the system was able to run vista

i have completed my memtest scan and my ram is ok, does anyone have any ideas what could be giving my a no signal error on the monitor my graphics are ok motherboard is ok ram according to memtest is ok cooling is all ok - so there is no over heating power supply should be ok - going...

OK, i Have sorted it, a stick of my ram has broken, upon removing it the system boots fine in normal mode and in safe mode, i would never have thought a gig of ram would have caused so much trouble, anyway thanks for your help

thank you for your responce, however i linked the wrong cpu i ment to link the Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 "Energy Efficient SLACR 95W Edition" 2.40GHz (1066FSB)£148.04 i wanted DDR3 so that i wouldnt have to upgrade for a while, will the ram u suggested will it give me the same preformance?

i have fixed it I cleared the bios and tried changing the settings in the bios again and it worked
