Thanks Spengos. It's absolutely possible with a mouse, if you wish to dedicate months to a weapon :P So yeah definitely use a tablet. I use a Cintiq personally and I love it, but they're expensive and I wouldn't recommend buying one unless this is a full time thing AND after you've tried a...

Yes it's digital Spengos, I do occasionally do pencil/pen sketches, but once I've taken them so far I scan them in and work them up as it's a lot faster. Some more of my weapon work :3 Spent some time taking some of my 2D concepts and turning them into 3D models whilst trying to retain the...

It's at a company called Clever Beans in Manchester, they're still fairly young, they made 'When Vikings Attack' on PS3.

Thanks Meekon. The MatCap is SkinShade4. As for the render it's pretty much default settings with my own lightcap. I rendered a standard, SSS, AO, Shadow and Mask then layered them in photoshop and tweaked their opacity individually.

Never done any traditional sculpting myself, although it's something I'd wish to try :) Nice one Meekon, well done on the 3DTotal exposure! Well deserved the sculpt is great :D I've managed to net myself an art position now I've graduated. I went to 3 interviews and got 3 offers ^^ Decided...

I decimated the high poly to ~20%, imported parts of it into 3DCoat and 3DS Max to retopologise and make the low poly. I then used X-Normal to bake the detail from the decimated sculpt onto the new low poly geometry.
