It crashed in both windows 10 & 11. AMD have now replaced the chip.

I RMA’d it back to AMD. They now have it so fingers crossed.

So after OCUK asked me to run lots of checks and stress testing, they then replied with 'we only cover the CPU for 1 year. After this, you must contact AMD directly.' So I guess by the time I deal with them, my 3 year warranty will have expired :(

My CPU has 1 month left of warranty. Guess where that’s heading!!!

I was thinking of RMA’ing the psu, but if I cannot replicate the fault (unless gaming) I can see me sending it back to OCUK and them saying it’s all fine.

Does this point to the cpu going up the duff?

When I put volts back to auto it ran at 4.3ghz as it deleted the files. Took 6mins, where as on 1.4v and 500Mhz it was going to take over an hour!

I was deleting the windows.old folder as I installed w11 again, and it was running at 500Mhz whilst doing that, popping up to 3.7/4.3Ghz occasionally

It’s does say on the cpu 500Mhz - 4.3Ghz, or something like that!

put volts back to auto and it crashed loading the nvidia driver (I reinstalled windows 11)

Setting the cpu voltage stopped the in game crashing, but I’ve noticed the cpu typically running at 0.5Ghz!

PBO is off. I was on balanced but will go performance. Since changing the cpu voltage to 1.4v it seems stable again.

It looks like the cpu voltage is set to auto and 1.35v, so I have manually set it to 1.4v

Stressing both passed for 30mins. I’ll try checking the volts tomorrow. Thanks for your help and suggestions ch3m1c4L

Odd. Stressing both is giving me a max cpu temp of 71.3c, but average is lower than stressing only the cpu at 64.7c!

Ok. I’m gonna run the gpu and cpu stress test for 30mins. If all is fine, I’ll start checking the voltages. The PSU has a 10 year warranty, so I could send that back to OCUK to check I guess. Everything is run stock in the bios, no overclocking or undervolting, as far as I know!

It only crashes when gaming. It wouldn’t go into a low power state during gaming would it? 30min gpu stress worked fine. Max gpu temp 60c

Well I ran the 30min Cinebench stability test. No issues. Temps were max 68c with average 66.1c, after a 10min then 30min test. I’ll run a GPU test next.
