These are also designed to work 24/7 supposidly unlike their 'normal' drives.
I'm not paying a premium for that pleasure though considering my 'normal' spinpoints have been working 24/7 for a long time
I have been looking into this drive too and from what I've read it's rated to run 24/7 unlike the normal desktop drives (as previously stated).
I'm now in 2 minds which drive to buy as I already have 2 spinpoints, neither of which are the F1 raid editions, but have been used 24/7 for months...
I'm still running an opty 170, and have recently bought a 4870 as my 1900xt broke, 22" monitor at 1680x1050 res
There's no doubt about it, the rest of the system is a major bottleneck. My 3dmark06 scores are ~10k with the 4870, slightly higher than with my 8800GTX, and significantly higher than...
Owners of media pc's will probably more likely stick to a single card for much longer than the rest of us who want the best technology to play those ever demanding games.
I think a 3-5 year card dependant on range would be ideal imo
I get the same error message, but assumed my card was on it's last legs.
Not so bad for me as it's an old x1900xt.
I'm on xp 32bit, primary display is a 22" monitor, but is connected to a 37" tv too.
It's been getting worse with time, so I've given up and stopped using the PC totally...
Is the rad completely bled free of air? When filling it, wouldn't the rad have to the lower than the res to ensure that there is no trapped air? It looks like the rad was never lower than the res as it appears that it passes through the top of the case
My PC is very very rarely at idle. I'm constantly folding on it, and leave it on for weeks at a time.
The PC is now 2 years old and I've seen no degradation in performance or stability. I've been on air and now on water
Exactly the same as mine. My pc is watercooled, but is in a converted attic, under a desk, in front of the radiator. I have a feeling the intense heat from the rad is seeping into the tubes, and heating up the radiator. This has the effect of turning the radiator (cooling) into a radiator...
I've just ordered this card too today, due to the recent release of the Dolby Digital Live drivers, to connect up to my home theatre system.
From the reviews I've read, game performance is meant to improve, as the card takes over with the sound processing, freeing up system resources. No idea...
If you paid for next day delivery, and the item was dispatched at the same day as your friend's, and you both live in the same area (eg mainland england), then it's an issue with the courier company.
Claim your money back from them, as ocuk will have fulfilled their promises (if the dispatch...
ES versions of the $999 chip have been clocked at 4.1ghz on air cooling alone, and has been taken over 5ghz on other cooling, presumably water. Smashed all previous world records, including 3dmark 06, 05, superPI and a huge CPU score of 8000 alone
Had my p182 since release day now, and it's annoying me.
Although it houses my current watercooling, there's not enough room for my liking.
I'm also having trouble getting case temps down with my 8800GTX, and it's having an impact on other temps (mobo etc).
I've added a silent eagle 2000 120mm...
