I think I may stick with AMD you know. To get a decent spec Intel is just a bit too high for me.

How come the speed in Ghz is a lot slower on the intel?

Hi, I'm thinking of upgrading to AM2 dual core. I was reading the recommended memory configs: AM2 Dual Core X2 DDR2-667 or 800 (PC2-5300 or PC2-6400). I was wondering what effect it would have on 1GB PC2-5300 if I was to add 1GB of standard DDR PC3200. Thanks.

Hi - sorry for the late reply, I hvae Crucial Ballistix PC3200 1GB. It's for gaming and mIRC etc.. It doesn't have to have a DVD/RW as my laptop has one but would be nice if it did.
