    Please Identify This Film/Series....

Hey guys, thanks for the guesses but neither looks correct. I'm positive it's a newer film, probably 2015 onwards. Maybe even a 'new' release that we'd watched so 2020 onwards. I'd also add that it would be limited to something on Netflix, Amazon Video, ITVX, Channel 4 or 5 as we don't have...

    Please Identify This Film/Series....

Hi all, I really need help identifying a film or series, it's driving me and the Mrs wild! I'm afraid there isn't much to go on, all that we can remember is that it ends with a woman/ husband/ both lying on the floor of a newly purchased property either with their hand on the floor or laying...

    Wireless Adapter for 900mb connection

No, I always found USB adapters to be pants. Best bet is definitely a card with an aerial on a small cable. I tried 3 different WiFi adapters before settling on the Gigabyte one which I got on the members market. The first one was a little USB one connected straight in the back of my...

    Wireless Adapter for 900mb connection

I had a Gigabyte GC-WB1733D-I and that got me a solid ~400 out of 500 over WiFi. This is quite an old card now, I can imagine that some of the newer WiFi 6 cards doing the job. And I had no problem with the SH2 router.

Powering a Raspberry PI LCD Screen via power bank

I have no idea if the particular cable you are referencing will work 100% for your particular use case. I was just offering a suggestion for an alternative, that I had used and did work for me. https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/413KQRDZ3eL._AC_SY1000_.jpg That's what I used.

Powering a Raspberry PI LCD Screen via power bank

I don't know if you went for it in the end... But when I found that my Roku box wasn't getting all of the power it needed I bought a 1 female to 2 male usb splitter and that did the trick. Cost about £4 from forest.

    Networking Layout.

Thanks for the replies. Picture of garage setups would be good for sure! Are you not concerned about the moisture in the garage? And if that's the case, I might have to just run everything to spare bedroom and have a small cabinet in there, just hope it won't be too much of a pain running...

    Networking Layout.

Hi guys, Just wondering if anyone on here would be willing to give some advice on how best to expand the network in the house for better coverage, both wired and wireless? I'm not looking to throw loads of money at it, but willing to make reasonable purchases to achieve what I need. So I'll...

    Realistic Cards On A Budget?

Can't believe it was there long enough for me to actually put a bid in. If I get it that's another thing.

    Realistic Cards On A Budget?

I've been looking around at graphics cards for the last couple of weeks and with the likes of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the stock levels everywhere seem to have hit an all time low, whilst prices are sky rocketing due to demand. Just curious as to what people are looking at in the sub...

    Cracked Screen, Cut my losses?

I've got a UE55KU6470UXXU and I stupidly cracked the screen whilst putting it back up on a wall mount. Ironically the TV was already wall mounted, I was just waiting on some longer power cables. They came, so me and the Mrs was putting it back on the wall mount. I pushed what I thought was the...

Help With Hopefully Simple Batch Script

@visibleman got it working with net use commands. Ironically I also used the same net use to correct another script that I didn't even realise wasn't working correctly until I tested it and it didn't do anything. Thank you for the script and the help!

Help With Hopefully Simple Batch Script

I do remember trying something like that with one of the scripts that I did trial trying to get this working previously. I'll find it again and give it a go.

Help With Hopefully Simple Batch Script

Maybe a slight added complication... Task scheduler for some reason doesn't like the mapped network drive side of things so I have to use the UNC path name but the for function doesn't seem to like that. Comes back with "ERROR: UNC path (\\machine\share) are not supported."

Help With Hopefully Simple Batch Script

That last one worked perfectly, thank you so much! Needless to say I would never have got there as I only got the main conversion script working through trial and error and ripping other scripts together, but I was getting nowhere with this one. I've set it to run at the end of the...

Help With Hopefully Simple Batch Script

So when I try and run that it changes the directory to C:\user\richa\<date>\record And then exits saying error: directory name is invalid. Does this have something to do with Z: being a mapped network drive? Any further help would be appreciated

Help With Hopefully Simple Batch Script

Thank you @visibleman I'll try and use that in my test folders and see how I get on. And @Bug One I could rename them but I'm quite happy how they are named, I simply want to move them up one level so they are directly in the date named folder. This probably is doable from the output if I...

Help With Hopefully Simple Batch Script

Hi All, Just looking for some help with a batch script to move some files around. Basically I have a Camera that sends .264 files to a NAS drive, I then have a little computer that converts those into .mp4 so they are easily playable from multiple devices. The problem comes with the file...

    Worried About Network Integrity

Rdp is more to check that things are working correctly as it has to convert the save video footage from .264 to .MP4 and the program has been crashing a lot. CCTV is actually linked via iVideon server. The computer is running a server that sends the video feeds to app on my phone.
