so i think i found the cause. when i flashed the bios again it reset to defaults. xmp disabled. started getting issues again after enabling it (also enabled game boost). So disabled xmp and set it to 3600 manually in the bios , also bumped ram voltage to 1.4. runs ok now no issues for a few...

ok looks like i just need to find ram thats not as tall. and i should be able to make the cpu cooler/fan fit. Looks like i wont be able to have rgb ram as its too tall

you can buy an 8gb 390 for £200 with the same performance I dont see the point in this card. Needs to be cheaper

ok my mate has asked me to fix his pc. He got it before core duos came out. He has amd AM2 mobo, 4200x2 cpu, 2gb Geil 6400 memory, 7600gt gfx so i could get a cheap am2 mobo for around £50 and have it up & running but i said for a small investment he could double the speed of his machine...

i wouldnt waste money on vista with windows 7 launch so close. Unless theres some upgrade option to windows 7 from vista thats good value. how long does it lag for? does it lag before or after youve logged into messnger? . Have you reformatted recently or has the build been on the disk a while?
