Very true. I was happy to wait when there were signs that the queue was going down, but it hasn't gone down at all in a week or so (for all retailers that I have seen).
That's it I have snapped. I am still deep in the Asus Strix OC queue and estimate that I am still 4+ months away from getting my card. Other sites have ground to a halt on trying to clear their Stix OC backlog too. So I splurged on an MSI Suprim X 3090 from a competitors site so I'll be...
Since I placed my order at the beginning of November (Asus Strix OC & AMD 5900X) I have been using my queue placement to estimate delivery time. At this current rate I'll be receiving my GPU in the 3rd week of April 2021. To be fair to OCUK they seem to be getting through the Strix OC orders...
Same, I managed to get a 3060 Ti on another site. Still looking forward to getting my Strix OC from OCUK at some point, but at the current rate the queue is going down it will be 5.5 months until I get it (current position 1158).
Edit
That sucks :(
I ordered last week just before OCUK stopped taking anymore orders. I went for the Asus Strix OC hoping that as its is one of the more expensive cards the line might be short(er). No such luck, I'm 1270th in line. What surprised me is that 1270 x £900 is over £1.1 million in back ordered cards...
Thanks for the reply. Yeah I read up on single cards that can have 3 displays linked but they are more expensive and have little options for passively cooled cards. I want passive cooling as this is for a work PC and I want as little noise as possible,
I dont need the grunt of two cards, just...
Hi all I just need some reassurance that what I have bought will do the job. Does the Asus P8Z77-V LX mobo support two graphics cards? I dont need them to run in SLI, only to run 3 monitors.
I see there is one PCIe 3 slot and a 2nd PCIe 2 slot. Will it allow the installation of two low end...
I was supprised at how noisy the 280GTX is, I upragraded from a 7800GTX (almost silent), and there is a huge difference. The 280 is easily the lousest thing in my case.
And in game my 280 reaches 78-82C
I turned off the 2 marvel controllers (storage & SAS), and the Asus gate thing that comes on as soon as you boot up.
Under Ai Overclock Tuner on the 2nd tab of the BIOS I selected the XMP (extreme memory profile), it sets your ram up with pre-determined settings. Once selected the XMP setting...
Thats what it thought initialy as well, however when your graphics card is in PCI-e slot 1 it should only cover the 1st PCI slot, leaving the 2nd PCI slot free.
This is how I managed to fit my PCI soundcard in.
