Story time! Sorry for the wall of text.
A couple of years ago I stepped in to help a security guard from Tesco who got into a scuffle out on the street. The scumbag hoo had stolen a bottle of vodka pulled a knife and let me tell you, there was a very immediate sense of regret where I went from...
The advantage of the thunderbolt cable is you can get all your signals down one neat cable, and it's super nerdy! I don't think you could do this with copper TB though, only optical as my understanding is the signal at 40Gb/s will drop off pretty quickly over copper lengths.
I've ran 1080p at...
Well I just did a quick Google and it looks like you can get a 25 feet DP cable for just over a tenner so you could probably wrap this project up for around £30. As long as you don't mind multiple wires trailing.
Depending on the resolution and refresh rate of your screen, a long HDMI or DP cable will probably solve this problem. The reason Linus uses a thunderbolt cable is because he is gaming at 4k and 100Hz, so needs the bandwidth.
It really depends how far aware you are talking. If you are a super...
I had Pihole for ages and thought it was great, even gave a small donation to the project as it was going through a lot of active development at the time.
I updated my setup and built a PfSense firewall and used an add on called pfblocker-ng which offers the same sort of thing. I am going to...
I used to work in security at a telecoms company and I think if we're going to tar Huawei then we should probably shine a light on the even more budget and shady Chinese brands. The likes of ZTE and TCL spring to mind, I have seen some questionable behaviour but it always straddles the line...
You've got more risk of someone password stuffing and getting access to your cloud storage. Ransomware is not such a threat for cloud storage.
Turn on 2FA and use unique passwords and your clouds will remain fluffy and white.
I had a similar problem recently. I ended up getting the Baofeng BF888s which are pretty cheap. If they break, I will probably replace them with something more mid range. We also ended up splashing out on an OFCOM Business Radio Licenses for £75 for 5 years which meant we weren't restricted to...
In that case you could try putting it in different ports on your router but I would be surprised if that that was the issue. If you're feeling fancy you can get an Intel PRO NIC for £25 or so, or even a cheap TP-Link for £10 will probably be fine, just make sure you have a spare PCIE slot...
Are the PS4 and the PC connected in the same way? Sharing a switch etc? Might need a bit more info on your network setup. You could try a different port on your switch/router.
If it were me I'd probably spend £10 on a new NIC, just to help diagnose the problem.
I've reserved one for a youth club I volunteer at, [nameoftown]youth.club
Don't think anyone else will want it as its fairly unique. Not sure on cost yet though. Also have the .com but I thought .club was quite novel
We spent 3days in Bruge and 3 in Amsterdam. Got the train from Belgium to Holland was really easy. personally I prefer Bruge, especially for a romantic getaway. Such a beautiful place although there aren't many attractions so much as just a nice city to walk around.
If you end up going to...
Scotland or Cornwall? Lack of specifics make me think empty statement.
Without meaning to sound patronising, don't worry about it too much. You will meet lots of great girls in the next 5-10 years. If this all goes wrong just chalk it up to experience
Four Floors. Every taxi driver will know it ;)
Singapore is a great place for shopping and I quite enjoyed just wondering round exploring too. If you are into your tech there is a mall that is just seven floors of electronics which I enjoyed :D
We stayed at the Lloyd Hotel in Amsterdam, it's a little out of town. Best way is a tram (think we bought a 4 day pass for under €10). Although its slightly out of the way it's certainly an interesting place to spend a couple of nights.
