These KS's are a bit of a minefield tbh. They do have 2 issues, one is a VID and the other is a SA. The VID you can sort of work around but not all the time, the SA is more of an issue as it will hard lock on an SA over 1.25. I've had a few of these now and 2 have had an SA issue, one of them...

Just had an interesting update from Ubiquiti: Hi There, I appreciate your patience, The development team was able to reproduce the issues that you're experiencing on the primary WAN (port 19). They are working on a resolution. I'll reach out when I have an update from the development team...

Intel Core Ultra 'Arrow Lake' Discussion/News ("15th gen") on LGA-1851

Then how do you explain Intel Optaine drives for example from a 905P to a P5800X, as those drives will easily outperform these Gen 4/5 drives for random read and writes? So I will ask the question again, what would a Gen5 drive bring to the table that a Gen 4 won't? As I can see it there is no...

Intel Core Ultra 'Arrow Lake' Discussion/News ("15th gen") on LGA-1851

What can you do on a Gen 5 NVMe that you can't do on the Gen 4 NVMe? If you need that type of I/O, I'd argue you are on the wrong platform completely

I rate Excel items quite well, as I use Excel cabling, jacks and keystones and never had an issue with them.

One word of advice with these UniFi switches depending on the model you go with they can be quite deep, as I run a 600mm cabinet and that gives just about enough space behind for UNVRs / Enterprise switches etc...

The UK UI store is normally around 3 days (UPS), which is the same as the EU (DHL) on with the cheaper option but they do have the next day on that one. That's the recent experiences I have had with the UI Store.

I am currently using a UACC-CM-RJ45-MG for my WAN 1 connection, as I have flipped it over from the 2.5GbE interface I am seeing some odd issues when you saturate the connection. I have a case open with Ubiquiti about it, as it's a fairly repeatable behaviour, so I have sent them a bunch of logs...

What causes all network connections to die on a PC

Intel I225's can be very hit-or-miss at times, if you haven't already done a check you are on the driver which corrects the random disconnects and another thing worth checking is to disable the power saving feature on them. Also, check Windoge updates have not installed anything if this is a...

I had a bit of a play with the UDW yesterday and I have jumbo frames working on the PPPoE interfaces So the following needs to be done as before on the CLI: sed -i 's/ 1492/ 1500/g' /etc/ppp/peers/ppp0 sed -i 's/ 1492/ 1500/g' /etc/ppp/peers/ppp1 ip link set dev eth18 mtu 1508 ip link set dev...

    14th Gen "Raptor Lake Refresh"

I normally get my CPUs from The Egg, as in the past that's where all my good ones have come from as I have always found UK ones a bit iffy. Plus I also want to get an Optaine drive as well, so that will be bundled in.

That's a really nice one, looking forward to seeing the results but SP99 is shocking. Sadly they are not binned per SP no. I'm waiting on the US one and then I'll probably sell off the SP95 14900K
