    Gigabyte AORUS FO32U2P Flat QD-OLED: 32" 4K 240Hz with DisplayPort 2.1, KVM

People on Reddit are starting to take deliveries of this monitor from OCUK. Someone there ordered at 11am on the 17th, sadly my order went in after midnight and no sign of it moving yet.

    Gigabyte AORUS FO32U2P Flat QD-OLED: 32" 4K 240Hz with DisplayPort 2.1, KVM

That's good news, I was told I'd likely not make the first batch, maybe they increased their order size.

I couldn't tell you, I'd look up reviews for the Dell and see if any mention how it performs with your Mac laptop. From what I have read the Dell would be the better monitor by a healthy margin. The apple is only 60hz refresh rate whereas the Dell is 120hz. That not only makes gaming much better...

Hah, read my last message. He gave no idea of budget though just said he wanted something as good as apple displays. I just gave him the top end "budget" apple display alternative. I don't know enough to recommend anything cheaper.

Yea to be clear I'd only recommend that Dell as a "budget" alternative to an Apple pro display. If you don't need perfect colour accuracy and instead just want a nice sharp image there will be many cheaper options.

Have a look at the dell u4025qw. It's pretty much top of the PC consumer level monitors at the moment in terms of resolution and connectivity etc. You obviously won't get near a £4600 monitor without spending some proper money. That Dell is around £1600.

    Gigabyte AORUS FO32U2P Flat QD-OLED: 32" 4K 240Hz with DisplayPort 2.1, KVM

Definitely the better decision financially, never thought I'd spend 1300 on a monitor

Yea, no brainer to get the future proofed version for £40 more. PD is important to me. Chris B said the second batch should be in sometime in May.

Got a response from the shop: Hopefully the next batch won't be too long afterwards.

    Gigabyte AORUS FO32U2P Flat QD-OLED: 32" 4K 240Hz with DisplayPort 2.1, KVM

Overclockers now have this listed, I've switched my preorder over. No idea when they'll get stock in.

    Gigabyte AORUS FO32U2P Flat QD-OLED: 32" 4K 240Hz with DisplayPort 2.1, KVM

The KVM is the big selling point for me. Once I include a 4k240hz KVM it's practically the same price. I'd rather not have yet another piece of hardware sitting on my desk.

    Gigabyte AORUS FO32U2P Flat QD-OLED: 32" 4K 240Hz with DisplayPort 2.1, KVM

Ouch, just got an email stating the 4th of July, I imagine there'll be more places with it listed by then. Maybe even some stock

    Gigabyte AORUS FO32U2P Flat QD-OLED: 32" 4K 240Hz with DisplayPort 2.1, KVM

So turns out I couldn't. I spotted this on preorder at a UK competitor at a not too crazy price of £1300. Much less than ordering from Germany. No idea when it's expected in and if overclockers list it too ill probably switch my order over. I think it only got listed yesterday at the other place.

    Gigabyte AORUS FO32U2P Flat QD-OLED: 32" 4K 240Hz with DisplayPort 2.1, KVM

I can wait until June, I'm sure I can! Only 2 more months.

tell me why not to buy this hahah

It's low resolution for the size. That's probably the main down side. If it's cheap then it's probably not the best panel. It's up to you to pick where you want to sit on the price/quality spectrum. For reference the top end consumer monitor for 40 inch UW would be the Dell U4025QW at £1600.

The alternative would be the Asus or wait for the HP. Much prefer the look of the HP out of those two but it's going to be a few more months. I think I'll be patient and just wait for sales at some point when these are actually in stock.
