Post # 5 and then post #3 sound like good places to start before you remove your CPU. If #5 and #3 fail to help, then see posts # 2 and #4.

The CPU-Z shot is from the SPD tab. All that shows is the voltage needed to run that RAM at those timings using the SPD settings. CPU-Z is not going to show the RAM voltage. Your RAM voltage will be shown in your BIOS.

Reseat your CPU. If that and the other tips given here fail, try raising your CPU-VTT voltage 1-3 steps above stock.

Does your system work better for your needs with the new kit? If yes, ignore the WEI. It's worse than worthless.

You'll likely never notice the difference with the naked eye. Try both settings gaming or test with benchmarks and compare the 2.

Type MSCONFIG into your run window, and check the BOOT tab, ADVANCED OPTIONS, and make sure your memory is not capped in the maximum memory tab.

If your CPU is up to your current needs, a good P45 or X48 DDR3 board and an 8GB kit of DDR3 memory is just what the doctor ordered. DDR3 is dirt cheap right now and much less expensive and easier to find than DDR2.

I have started seeing some people stating that they are bogging on FPS with BF3 and 4GB. Several are reporting that going to 8GB solves it. If that is your game of choice you may want to look into that before deciding.
