**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S23 Family Thread ****

I don't have the option, that's my gripe, but it seems only EE customers get this option. In Airplane mode with WiFi Calling enabled, calls and texts are fine, just wish I could have it on when I want, not when Three want

**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S23 Family Thread ****

Its been fine for a while, 2 days ago videos were throwing silly errors back about the version, but today it's back to being fine and videos are playing fine

**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S23 Family Thread ****

Thought as much, would just like the option to set this to WiFi as preferred, especially when the phone can have 1 bar of signal and it's still using it for calls (often not great quality) when there is a 5gbps internet line with WiFi 6 APs available to use for WiFi calling. Cheers pal

**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S23 Family Thread ****

I'm wondering if anyone can shed any light on this one for me? Apologies if it's already been covered... So, I swapped from a Galaxy S21 on EE to a Galaxy S23 on Three and ported my number over, all went smoothly. On my S21on EE, I often used WiFi Calling especially at work and my folks...

Massive drop in transfer speeds on WLAN

Evening folks, I often transfer single files ranging from 20GB to 45GB from my main rig to my second rig which used to be hard-wired in to the router using it's 1Gbps card. I've had to re-locate the second rig upstairs in the spare bedroom, no way of hard-wire/powerline so I purchased an wifi 6...

    OC(UK) Host Review :-)

They don't let you manage DNS for domains, they make you do it via the domain's cPanel zone editor, but yes you can do CAA records with them. Assume Krystal will do the same?

    OC(UK) Host Review :-)

Jump on the live chat, they'll give you one. Happy to put you on one of my reseller accounts free of charge if you want to host on them for a while to test the waters. I think at the moment my choices would be StablePoint, SpeedyPage or Krystal

G.Fast - is it worth it - and moving?

Sorry, I meant as in switching it to FTTP mode (in Advanced settings) to use as a router rather than modem and hooking this up to the Huawei G.Fast modem to rule out the USG being the cause (highley unlikely)

G.Fast - is it worth it - and moving?

Quite happy with my G.Fast, I am around 60m from the cab and get full 300mbps pretty much - I'm with BT However, I originally ran a Huawei G.Fast modem so I could use my Unifi USG, however it constantly dropped the line sync randomly between 1am and 4am a couple times a week and DLM hammered...

    New essential Android apps thread

When I swapped from my S10 to an S21, my Google Pay stopped working for 6 months, so had to use Samsung Pay for a while, worked 100% of the time but god I was sick of the adverts that popped up in the app during, especially adverts trying to sell me products (Galaxy Watch) I already own...

    Direct Access - VirginMedia

Not sure if this will help but might be useful for DA/AOVPN admins on here, but just before the first lockdown landed in March 2020, I had deployed Always On VPN (the new version of Direct Access) and then suddenly wham 2,000 staff jumped on it from home, we found specific issues with various...

Out of Range - Random Hissyfit

The HDMI chip on the older BenQ monitors can't cope with anything above 60hz on HDMI, but might be worth a shot at a HDMI/DP to DVI cable adaptor aye.

Out of Range - Random Hissyfit

To me, Out Of Range messages typically mean the monitor is unable to match the resolution or refresh rate you're trying to push to it. Now, I have a BenQ XL2720Z which I've had for 5 years, always running 1920x1080 at 144hz as I game a lot on it, and the monitor was always connected via DVI to...

Registering an internal servers DNS name with external registrar

Most DNS providers wont even let you create records against non-routable addresses to fair - You mention the machines arent on a domain, but if the default local admin password is the same, you could write small batch file to edit the host file on them all, it'd take 10 mins tops to do it all.

    BT Infinity & FTTx Discussion

If I remember rightly, unlocking the HG612 mainly just gives you the extra stats ability. As far as the setup goes, HG612 in to the master socket, cat5 to the UDM Pro, then in the WAN connection in UniFi, set the connection type to PPPoE, put "[email protected]" as the username, password...

    BT Infinity & FTTx Discussion

For the past 2 weeks, my line keeps disconnecting around 1am. The DSL and Internet light on the Openreach modem go off, then reconnect after around a minute or so. The disconnects have meant that DLM has kicked in and dropped me from 300mbps down to around 240mbps. Dont really fancying ringing...

    Encrypting a USB Flash Drive

Why not buy hardware encrypted drives? Kingston DT4000 for example, we use to have a lot in the NHS but sort of a thing of the past now, still used though. They're a tad expensive but give you piece of mind, and the DT4000 is FIPS 140-2 certified too...
